One of our technicians will come to your home or business and determine the ideal location and size of a solar system that will meet your needs. Our technician will take detailed roof measurements, review the age and integrity of the roof (or other mounting surface that would house the solar system), conduct a solar shading analysis, and determine the appropriate route for connecting the system to the electrical panel.

In addition to the solar system site survey, our technician will perform a visual energy audit. We provide this complimentary service to help our customers learn about alternative methods for using energy more efficiently and lowering their energy consumption. The Visual Energy Audit includes a review of the building's insulation, ductwork, possible sources of air infiltration, etc.

Our design team will create a customized solar system based on your home's architecture and your family's electrical needs. The design of the solar system is focused on achieving the following key objectives; the energy needs of the homeowner, the financial goals of the homeowner, and the architectural look they would like to achieve.

We will also perform a comprehensive financial and performance analysis that details how much electricity will be produced over the life of the system, as well as the financial impact of the system—including applicable tax credits and rebates.

Once you're comfortable with the design and financial details we'll prepare your contract and discuss available payment options. We will also work with you and your CPA to make sure you have the documentation and paperwork required to receive the applicable tax credits.

Our professional installation team has extensive experience and will build your system according to our high standards. The lead installer on every job is a NABCEP Certified PV installer, the highest certification available.

We will provide a detailed work schedule for your installation and, upon completion, will schedule an inspection with your local building department and utility company in order to complete the connection to the power grid.

For the first 5 years after we install your solar panel or solar hot water system, we provide an internet-accessible monitoring system free of charge. We also provide a five-year labor and service warranty on your solar energy system, in addition to a power production guarantee.

The monitoring system allows you to see exactly how much power your system is generating in real-time, including how much power it has produced over the past week, month, or year. Your system's performance data can be viewed via the Internet through an encrypted web-portal that only you and Joule can access.
